Here's How We're Doing!!

The Governor and the Secretary of Labor set State and National goals for the programs we manage. These goals represent the minimum standard that the South Central WorkForce Council’s providers must exceed each year. Performance Standards serve as a system of accountability and represent the "bottom line" in specialized services to customers using the WorkForce Centers.  The Performance outcomes that follow represent the final outcomes for Program Year 2006 (July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007)

While the WorkForce Center services are available to anyone, limited funding requires us to set priorities for the services available under certain specialized Federal and State Programs.  WorkForce Investment Act funding is earmarked for individuals who are in poverty or on welfare and, in the case of youth, those who are experiencing difficulty in traditional education. The WorkForce Investment Act also provides funding for Dislocated Workers.  These are individuals who have lost there job through no fault of their own.  This may also include displaced homemakers.

Job placement services continue to be available to anyone who wants and needs them.
