Three WorkForce Centers
serve our area!
Located in
Mankato, New Ulm and Fairmont, each Center provides a broad
range of services to both the job seeker and employers. The
WorkForce Centers serve anyone who is looking for employment or is
seeking information on careers and training
opportunities. The WorkForce Centers also provide
access to the services of special Federal and State funded programs.
WorkForce Centers
are a great resource for area employers who are looking for qualified
help in all fields or who need local labor market information.
More information about
each WorkForce Center, including phone numbers and directions to their
locations are available at these links:
Each WorkForce Center
involves a partnership of agencies who have made
a commitment to deliver employment related services
under one roof. This ensures seamless access for the customer.
The "core partners" who make staff available at all
WorkForce Centers include:
|

|
|
|

|
Department
of Employment and Economic Development, Job Service Division
|
|

|
|
|

|
|
Other "external
partner" agencies work with the WorkForce Centers in a variety of
ways. Some of them make staff available at some but not
all of the WorkForce Centers or make staff available on an "as
needed" basis, but maintain separate facilities to deliver
"non-employment related" services.
These partners are frequently called on to deliver employment related
specialized services at the request of the Counties, other partners or
the WorkForce Council. These partners include: MRCI, Area Adult
Basic Education, Life Work
Planning Center, Watonwan County Employment and Training and
South Central Technical College.
In addition to our
"core and external partners", the following agencies have
been sought out by the WorkForce Council, partners or the Counties to
deliver specialized employment and training services: Community
Assistance for Refugees (CAR); New Focus; First Call for Help;
and Child Care Resource and Referral.
